Pros and Cons
Client: John Wiley and Sons
Create a banner ad campaign and cover for a book about the controversial infiltration of flouride in America’s water supply. This vintage public health topic dates as far back as the 1940’s, which is stylistically represented in the book’s cover. Its retro design and debatable theme must be imparted by the banner ads in various renditions and forms.
Peace
The interplay of a decayed, gritty, grainy image of a woman’s vandalized face, along with the invasive vintage-turquoise stain splattering all but her mouth and teeth sharply conveys the theme of dispute and controversy in the book’s cover. Other marketing materials share this message throughout each of the visuals. The high concept look succesfully imparted the message of this book. The banner ads were not implemented , but well-received by marketing.
